After-School Program Registration Opens on Monday 8/23 at 9:00 am
In addition, over 165 new programs to begin in August
Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’ (BCRP) After-School programs are back this fall in over thirty locations across the City! Online registration begins on Monday, August 23 at 9:00 am.
The After-School Adventures program is designated for youth ages 5-12. Brand new this year is the Youth B.A.S.E. (Baltimore After-School Experiences) program for ages 12-14. This session of the After-School program will begin on September 7 and end on December 23. Program hours are 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Activities at both programs include topics such as health and wellness, STEM, cultural and creative arts, personal development, sports and games, and other age-appropriate enrichment activities. COVID protocols will be followed, which includes a reduced number of spaces available per site. Visit our website to explore all program locations and registration details.
The After-School Program is supported by a $1 million investment from Family League of Baltimore to support the addition of quality, community-based out-of-school-time programming. However, the impact of this investment reaches far beyond the After-School Program as BCRP is also able to offer over 165 new programs beginning next week in recreation facilities and continuing through September!
These programs will provide engagement opportunities targeting youth of all ages covering a variety of focus areas that include math, music, dance, mentorship, culinary and nutrition, journalism, and many other topics.
A sampling of programs open for registration right now include:
- Youth Yoga in the Park
- Financial Literacy and Youth
- Divaneering Lab
- Maryland Ravens Wheelchair Basketball: Promoting Abilities in Baltimore
- Music For F.U.N. (Fundamental Understanding of Notes)
